Matar Paneer Sabji With Paratha is an easy and healthy dish to make within 10 minutes. You can prepare it with paneer, green peas, tomato, whole wheat flour, onion, and some spices. Whenever you are in hurry to make a kid’s tiffin or an office lunch box, this is the best option. Moreover, you can serve it for lunch, or dinner as well. It does not require much preparation and cooking time. Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING MATAR PANEER SABJI :
  • Green peas / Matar - 1 Cup
  • Water - As required
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 3 Chopped
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 1 Chopped
  • Garlic / Lahsun - 5 to 6 Cloves (optional)
  • Ginger / Adarak - 1 Inch chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder / Dhaniya powder - 1 tsp
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Cottage cheese / Paneer - 1 Cup diced
  • Fresh cream / Malai - 1 tbsp
  • Dry fenugreek leaves / Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful + For garnishing
  • FOR PREPARING PARATHA :
  • Whole wheat flour / Gehu ka aata - 1 Cup
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - As required
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - As required
  • FOR PREPARING ONION SALAD :
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Sliced
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - For garnishing
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING MATAR PANEER SABJI :
  2. Boil water in a pan. Add green peas and salt. Boil it for 4 to 5 minutes on medium flame.
  3. Then drain out the water. Take out boiled green peas in a bowl. Keep it aside.
  4. Take tomato, ginger, garlic, green chilli, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and all spice mix powder in a grinding jar. Grind it for a few minutes to prepare its puree. Keep it aside.
  5. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and prepared puree. Mix well and saute it for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame.
  6. Now add boiled green peas. Mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame.
  7. Further, add paneer, little water, fresh cream, and dry fenugreek leaves. Mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame. Then add coriander leaves and mix well.
  8. Once done, take it out to a serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves.
  9. FOR PREPARING PARATHA :
  10. Take wheat flour in a bowl. Add salt and oil. Mix well. Add water gradually to prepare medium consistency dough. Add little ghee and knead it well. Let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes.
  11. Take a ball-sized dough, and dust it with flour. Prepare a paratha from it. Apply ghee to it. Sprinkle red chilli powder and salt.
  12. Start folding the paratha to make a triangle shape. First, fold it in half. Then fold it again to make a triangle shape. Roll it to make a paratha.
  13. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Place the paratha on it and cook it on a medium flame. Apply ghee to it.
  14. Flip the paratha and cook it on a medium flame for 2 - 3 minutes and keep pressing it. Cook it well from both sides by applying ghee to it. Once it is done, take it out on a serving plate. Likewise, prepare another paratha.
  15. FOR PREPARING ONION SALAD :
  16. Take onion in a bowl. Sprinkle salt and red chilli powder. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  17. 'Matar Paneer Sabji With Paratha' is ready to be served.
