Methi Lachha Paratha | Methi Ka Paratha is multilayered healthy paratha.

Methi Lachha Paratha | Methi Ka Paratha is made from whole wheat flour, fenugreek leaves, and some spices. You can serve it with curd or pickle. This will be the best idea to add fenugreek leaves to your kid’s and family’s meals. You can easily prepare this paratha with a unique technique. In addition, fenugreek leaves help to control diabetes, and cholesterol level, improve heart health, and cures constipation, and joint pain. Ghee adds flavor to the paratha and it is very simple to make in your kitchen. Ingredients

  • Fenugreek leaves / Methi - 1 Cup
  • Whole wheat flour / Gehu ka aata - 1 Cup
  • Ginger-green chilli paste / Adrakh-hari mirchi paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Sesame seeds / Til - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take fenugreek leaves in a grinding jar. Grind it for a few seconds to prepare its puree.
  2. Take it out in a bowl. Add whole wheat flour, ginger-green chilli paste, sesame seeds, oil, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add water gradually to prepare a medium-hard dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Take a medium ball-sized portion of the dough, shape it into a ball and flatten it. Dust it with flour. Roll it and prepare a roti.
  5. Apply ghee to it. Now fold the upper and lower parts of the paratha. Then fold both sides and prepare a square shape.
  6. Dust the prepared square shaped dough and roll it to make a paratha.
  7. Then again apply ghee to it. Now fold the upper and lower parts of the paratha. Then fold both sides and prepare a square shape.
  8. Dust the prepared square shaped dough and roll it again to make a paratha.
  9. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with ghee. Place the paratha on the tawa. Cook it from one side.
  10. Flip it once it is slightly brown, apply ghee on both sides, and cook it on a low to medium flame. Press the paratha while cooking it to make it crispy.
  11. Once done. Take it out to the serving plate.
  12. 'Methi Lachha Paratha | Methi Ka Paratha' is ready to be served.
