Methi Muthiya is a delicious and crispy snack for everyone.

Methi Muthiya is a quick and easy to prepare snack item. This uses methi/fenugreek leaves, sooji/semolina, some spices. These are deep-fried muthiya which has a crispy texture from outside with a soft centre. You can serve this snack with any type of chutney or tomato ketchup. This can be a good breakfast or evening tea-time snack option. Moreover, this is super easy to prepare using fewer ingredinets. So, try to make this snack at home and let us know your feedback.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can shallow fry or can make the muthiya in an appe pan as well.
  • If you want you can make paratha out of the muthiya mixture.

Ingredients

  • Barik Sooji/Semolina - 1 Cup
  • Methi/Fenugreek Leaves - 1/2 Cup chopped
  • Ginger paste - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Green Chilli paste - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Sugar - 1 Teaspoon or as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves - as required
  • Oil - 2 Teaspoon + for frying

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add semolina, chopped fenugreek leaves, ginger paste, green chilli paste, salt, sugar, turmeric powder, 2 teaspoon oil, coriander leaves. Mix well and add little water to just bind the ingredients.
  2. Now, make small muthiya out the dough.
  3. Meanwhile, heat oil for frying.
  4. Fry the muthiya on a high flame for a minute then lower the flame. Fry until the muthiya turns light brown in colour. Once done. take them out.
  5. Delicious 'Methi Muthiya' is ready to be served.

    Can i substitute the methi leaves with palak or pudina???
