Mini Dry Samosa | Baked Mini Samosa is a most lovable snack by all during festival season. 

Mini Dry Samosa | Baked Mini Samosa is a very healthy samosa. This uses very less oil as this is baked in the oven. This does not require much preparation and ingredients. It is very simple and easy to prepare. This has a crispy texture with a mouthwatering stuffing. The stuffing requires bhujiya or namkeen along with some spices and dry fruits like cashew and raisins. The stuffing tastes sweet, little spicy and sour at the same time. This makes it a perfect snack for your tea time. As these are baked, anyone can enjoy this snack as much as they want. So, try to make this flavourful snack this Diwali and enjoy with your loved ones.

This samosa was prepared in the Philips OTG HD6975 by a lovely mom – Vimki Giria.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can use any type of namkeen and farsan to make the samosa.
  • As this recipe uses bhujiya, add salt and spices according to your taste.
  • You can use whole it wheat flour as well to make the outer covering.
  • Store this samosa for 10 to 15 days in an airtight container.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR STUFFING:-
  • Maida/Refined flour - 1 Cup
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - 2 Teaspoon + for greasing
  • INGREDIENTS FOR STUFFING:-
  • Bhujiya or any other farsan - 1 Cup
  • Coriander Seeds - 1 Tablespoon
  • Crushed Saunf/Fennel Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli powder - as per taste
  • Garam Masala/ALl spice mix - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Amchur/Dry Mango Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Powdered Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 Teaspoon
  • Cashew Nuts - 1 Tablespoon chopped
  • Kishmish/Raisins - 1 Tablespoon chopped

Instructions

  1. PREPARING THE DOUGH:- Take a bowl and add refined flour, oil, salt. Mix well and add water to make smooth semi soft dough. Cover the dough and rest it for 10 to 15 minutes. Then knead the dough for 2 minutes.
  2. PREPARING THE STUFFING:- Take a grinder jar and add bhujiya, coriander seeds, crushed fennel seeds. Grind it in the pulse more to make coarse powder. Transfer to the bowl.
  3. Now, add little salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, dry mango powder, powdered sugar and oil. Mix well. Then add chopped cashew nuts and raisins. Mix well.
  4. Preheat the Oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
  5. PREPARING THE MINI SAMOSA:- Take small sized dough (smaller than lemon). Dust it flour and roll it little thick. Cut it into 2 semi-circle.
  6. Take one piece and seal the edges using water to make a cone.
  7. Fill the stuffing in it and seal it with the help of water. Brush the samosa with little oil. This will give a nice colour to the samosa.
  8. Line the baking tray with butter paper. Arrange the samosa on baking tray.
  9. Set the function for baking. Bake it at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  10. After 20 minutes, just check the samosa whether they are turning brown or not. You can grease them with oil once again to give a shiny texture.
  11. Once they turn light brown, take them out.
  12. Delicious 'Mini Dry Samosa | Baked Mini Samosa' is ready to be served.
