In Maharashtra, they also make these modaks with rice flour, and by steaming them and hence they call those modaks Ukadiche modak. The main ingredients in this modak are jaggery, wheat flour dough, and grated fresh coconut. So try this sweet offering to Lord Ganesha at your home. - While frying the modaks, remember to do it on a low-medium flame. Frying it on full low flame will result in melting of the modaks.
- The dry fruits in this recipe are optional. You can make this sweet dish simply by using whole wheat flour dough, jaggery, and grated coconuts.
