Mooli Aur Chawal Ke Aate Ka Paratha is an easy recipe for making different types of paratha at home. You just need mooli, rice flour, and some spice to make this paratha easily in your kitchen. Tips and Suggestions by the Mom Chef:

  • The ratio of water to rice flour should be 2:1.
  • The rice four should be added to water only after the water boils.
  • Leftover water of squeezed white radish can be added to boiling water to prepare rice flour dough.
  • Gram flour should be added to the stuffing to soak excess water and to make nice tasty paratha.
  • If you don’t have rice flour, wash the rice and spread it on a kitchen towel for 10 minutes, then grind it to prepare the flour from it.
  • The dough should be prepared while the rice flour mixture is lukewarm.
  • Take a big ball sized part of the dough to make a round shaped circular peda from the dough.
  • Mustard oil can be used to roast the paratha instead of ghee.

Ingredients

  • Water - 2 Cups
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Rice Flour / Chawal Ka Aata - 1 Cup
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee - As required
  • FOR PREPARING RADISH STUFFING :
  • White Radish / Mooli - 1 Grated
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger / Adarak - 1 Inch grated
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirchi - 1 to 2 Finely chopped
  • Dry Mango Powder / Aamchur - 1/2 tsp
  • Carom Seeds / Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
  • Dry Fenugreek Leaves / Kasuri Methi - 1/2 tsp
  • Gram Flour / Besan - 1 tsp
  • tsp = teaspoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING RADISH STUFFING :
  2. Take radish in a bowl and squeeze out its water. Take it out in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add red chilli powder, ginger, green chilli, dry mango powder, carom seeds, dry fenugreek leaves, and besan. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  4. FOR PREPARING MOOLI AUR CHAWAL KE AATE KA PARATHA :
  5. Boil water in a pan. Add salt and rice flour. Keep stirring continuously to prepare lumps-free mixture.
  6. Now cover the pan with a lid and cook it on low for 2 minutes. Then turn off the flame.
  7. Take it out in a mixing bowl. Grease your palm with ghee and knead the dough well with your hands or spoon for 1 to 2 minutes.
  8. Take a big ball sized part of the dough and knead it well to make a round shaped crack free circular peda from the dough.
  9. Slightly make it flattened. Add the prepared stuffing in the center. Join the edges and seal it properly. Dust it with flour and press it with your hands to make a paratha. Then slightly roll it with light hands.
  10. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with ghee. Place the prepared paratha on the tawa. Cook it from one side.
  11. Flip it once it is slightly brown, add ghee to the paratha and cook it from both sides for 3 to 4 minutes on a medium flame. Press the paratha while cooking it to make it crispy.
  12. Once done, take it out to the serving plate.
  13. 'Mooli Aur Chawal Ke Aate Ka Paratha' is ready to be served.
