Mooli Tamatar Ki Sabji is a delicious sabji for everyone. 

Mooli Tamatar Ki Sabji is a mouthwatering winter delicacy. This uses radish/mooli along with tomato and some basic spices. This is quick and very simple to prepare within minutes. This goes well with roti or paratha. You may have eaten mooli paratha so, give a try this sabji. You will love the flavour of the sabji. It is not only tasty but healthy sabji with the goodness of tomato and radish. So, try to make this sabji at home and enjoy. Do share your feedback as well.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Do not overcook the radish/mooli. Once the pressure cook starts whistling, switch off the flame.
  • Squeeze the water radish completely.
  • You can add spices according to your taste.

Ingredients

  • Mooli/Radish - 3 medium sized
  • Tomato - 2 medium sized
  • Coriander Leaves - as required
  • Ajwain/Carom seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - 2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the radish. Then chop into small pieces.
  2. Take a pressure cooker, add chopped radish, water. Close the lid and pressure cook it. Once it starts whistling switch off the flame. Let it cool.
  3. Once cooled, take out the radish and squeeze the water completely. Keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Then add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  5. Add chopped tomato and let it cook on a medium flame.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Mix well and cook until tomatoes are soft.
  7. Finally, add boiled radish. Mix well ad cook for a minute. Then switch off the flame.
  8. Delicious 'Mooli Tamatar Ki Sabji' is ready to be served. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot.
