Mumbai Special Sandwich is a mouth-watering dish. One of the most popular and lovable snack dish. In this recipe you will get to know how to make the sandwich masala. It requires easily available ingredients like fennel seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, whole black peppercorn, and dry mango powder. The salt and black salt content makes it very tasty. Ingredients

  • FOR MAKING SANDWICH MASALA:
  • Cumin seeds/Jeera - 2 tablespoon
  • Saunf/Fennel seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Cloves/Laung - 3 to 4 no
  • Whole black peppercorn/Kali mirch - 5 to 7
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black salt/Kala Namak - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dry mango powder/Amchur powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • FOR MAKING SANDWICH:
  • White bread - 2 slices
  • Butter - as required
  • Green chutney/Hari chutney - as required
  • Tomato/Tamatar - 2 slices
  • Potato/Aloo - 3 to 4 slices boiled
  • Cucumber/Kheera - 4 to 5 slices
  • Onion/Pyaz - 1 slice
  • Namkeen sev - to garnish
  • Coriander leaves - to garnish

Instructions

  1. FOR MAKING SANDWICH MASALA:
  2. Heat pan, put the cumin seeds, fennel seeds, cloves, and whole black peppercorn. Dry roast on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes till the aroma comes.
  3. Once done, switch off the flame and allow it to cool down. Grind to make the powder. To the powder add salt, black salt, and dry mango powder. Mix well.
  4. FOR MAKING SANDWICH:
  5. Take two bread slices. Apply butter on them and then apply green chutney on the bread slices.
  6. On one bread slice, place the tomato slices, then place the boiled potato slices. Sprinkle the sandwich masala. Place the cucumber slices and onion slice. Again sprinkle the sandwich masala.
  7. Now, keep the other bread slice over it. Cut in four pieces. Apply butter on the pieces and garnish with namkeen sev and coriander leaves.
  8. The Mumbai Special Sandwich is ready to be served.
