Ingredients

  • Murmura/ Puffed rice - 2 cups
  • Dahi/ Curd - 1/4 cup
  • Pyaaz/ Onion - 1 chopped
  • Boiled Aloo/ Potato - 1 boiled and mashed
  • Hari mirch/ Green chilli - as per taste
  • Namak/ Salt - as per taste
  • Haldi powder/ Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Dhaniya patta/ Coriander leaves - a handful
  • Sooji/ Semolin - 1 tablespoon + coating
  • Besan/ Gram flour - 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoon
  • Oil - for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak puffed rice in a bowl with curd for 10 minutes by covering it.
  2. Add onion, potato, green chilli, salt, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, semolina, and gram flour and mix them well. Sprinkle some oil in the bowl and mix them well.
  3. Grease your palms with some oil and take a part of the mixture. Give it any shape you like and coat it with some semolina.
  4. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan and fry the tikkis on medium flame until it turns golden brown in colour.
  5. Murmura Tikki is ready to be served.
