Oats Besan Pancakes With Tamarind Chutney is the perfect one-dish meal. This is a fiber and protein-rich low calorie meal combo. Thus, it is an ideal meal for vegetarians. In addition, the pancake is soft and healthy as it has gram flour, oats, curd vegetables, some spices, and paneer. It tastes great with spicy, sweet, and savory tamarind chutney. Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING OATS BESAN CHILLA :
  • Gram Flour / Besan - 1 cup
  • Oats - 1/2 Cup
  • Curd / Dahi - 1 Cup
  • Water - As required
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Fennel seeds / Saunf - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Dry fenugreek leaves / Kasuri methi - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 1 Finely chopped
  • Oil - As required
  • FOR PREPARING PANEER STUFFING :
  • Capsicum - 1/2 Finely chopped
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1/2 Finely chopped
  • Paneer / Cottage Cheese - 1 Cup grated
  • Mint leaves / Phudina - A handful
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 1 Finely chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Black pepper powder / Kali mirch - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • FOR PREPARING TAMARIND CHUTNEY :
  • Tamarind / Imli - 3 to 4 big pieces
  • Hot water - As required
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1/2 Finely chopped
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 1 Finely chopped
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 1/2 Finely chopped
  • Jaggery / Gud - 1 Tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Black salt / Kala namak - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING PANEER STUFFING :
  2. Take capsicum, onion, paneer, mint leaves, green chilli, salt, and black pepper powder. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  3. FOR PREPARING OATS BESAN CHILLA :
  4. Take gram flour in a bowl. Add oats and curd. Mix well. Then add little water to make a medium thick flowing consistency batter.
  5. Now add salt, red chilli powder, fennel seeds, dry fenugreek leaves, green chilli, and 1/4 Teaspoon oil. Mix well.
  6. Heat a tawa. Grease it with oil. Pour the batter on the tawa and spread it like a pancake. Pour some drops of oil on it. Cover it with a lid.
  7. Cook it on low to medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Flip it to cook the other side as well.
  8. Once it is cooked from both sides, add the prepared paneer mixture in the centre and fold it like a roll. Then cut it and transfer it to a serving plate.
  9. FOR PREPARING TAMARIND CHUTNEY :
  10. Soak tamarind in hot water for 5 to 6 minutes. Squeeze out its water. Then strain it. Keep it aside.
  11. Take onion, green chilli, tomato, jaggery, prepared tamarind water, cumin seeds powder, black salt, and coriander leaves in a grinding jar.
  12. Grind it to prepare chutney. Then transfer it to a serving bowl.
  13. 'Oats Besan Pancakes With Tamarind Chutney' is ready to be served.
