Open Paneer Sandwich is very simple, easy, and hardly takes a few minutes for early morning breakfast. It is an open sandwich recipe with the goodness of veggies, cheese, and paneer. Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger - grated 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili - 1 finely chopped
  • Onion - 1 tablespoon finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 tablespoon finely chopped
  • Salt - as required
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Kashmiri red chili powder - as required
  • Paneer/ cottage cheese cube - 1 cup
  • Tomato ketchup - as required
  • Red chili sauce - as required
  • Kasuri methi/ dry fenugreek leaves - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Whole wheat bread - 1
  • Cheese - 1 slice and grated as required
  • Mixed herbs - as required
  • Red chili flakes - as required

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, grated ginger, green chili, and saute it.
  2. Add onion and saute it well on a high flame.
  3. Add tomato, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and paneer. Saute it well. Now, keep the flame low.
  4. Add tomato ketchup, red chili sauce, and kasuri methi. Saute it well and turn off the flame.
  5. Now, heat butter in another pan and allow it to melt.
  6. Place a bread slice in it. Now, place a cheese slice on the bread slice and spread the above mixture over it.
  7. Sprinkle the grated cheese, red chili flakes, and mixed herbs. Keep the flame medium.
  8. Cover and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes on a low to medium flame. Turn off the flame.
  9. Delicious Open Paneer Sandwich is ready to be served.
