Pakode Ki Sabji | Pakode Wali Kadhi is a delicious curry.

Pakode Ki Sabji | Pakode Wali Kadhi is a very popular and lovable sabji. The besan pakodi is cooked in the curd based gravy to make this yummy sabzi. This goes well with roti or rice. This is a famous curry across India and there are many variations to make this curry. Moreover, this is quick and easy to prepare and does not require much preparation and time. If you do not have any veggie at home then this is a perfect option. Everyone will love this curry. So, try to make this at home and do share your feedback with us.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR PAKODA:-
  • Besan/Gram Flour - 1/2 Cup
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Ajwain/Carom Seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 Teaspoon + for frying
  • INGREDIENTS FOR GRAVY/KADHI:-
  • Curd - 3 to 4 Tablespoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida/Hing - a pinch
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 to 1 Teaspoon
  • Ghee/Clarified Butter - 1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves - as required

Instructions

  1. PREPARING PAKODA:- Take a bowl and add gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder. Crush the carom seeds between the palms and add to the bowl. Add 1 teaspoon oil to it. Mix well then add water to make thick batter of flowing consistency.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil for frying.
  3. Make small pakoda and fry on a medium flame (keep little batter aside for gravy). Once the pakode turns nice golden brown, take them out. Keep aside.
  4. PREPARING THE GRAVY:-
  5. Heat ghee in a pan.
  6. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds, mustrard seeds. Then switch off the flame.
  7. Add red chilli powder and curd. Mix well. Then switch on the flame and cook it on a low flame.
  8. Add water to besan batter and add to the gravy. Mix well and cook.
  9. Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well. Add red chilli powder if required. Let it boil.
  10. Then break the pakode and add to the gravy. Cook for a minute then switch off the flame. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  11. Delicious 'Pakode Ki Sabji | Pakode Wali Kadhi' is ready to be served.
