Palak Ke Pakode is a delicious and healthy snack with the onset of monsoon.

Palak Ke Pakode is famous Indian street food. You can make it with spinach leaves, gram flour, spices, and herbs. These fritters are crispy from the outside and soft from inside and loaded with spinach will surely win everyone’s heart. This recipe is the best combo with a hot cup of Indian masala tea.   • To make crunchy pakodas add one spoon of hot oil to a gram of flour batter.
  • Whisking the batter makes the pakoda fluffy.

Ingredients

  • Gram flour / Besan - 1 Cup
  • Rice flour / Chaval Ka Aata - 2 Teaspoon
  • Ginger chilli Paste / Adrakh Hari Mirchi Paste - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - As Per Taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirchi Powder - As Per Taste
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder / Jeera Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • All Spice Mix Powder / Garam Masala - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - 2 Tablespoon
  • Asafoetida / Hing - 1 Pinch
  • Carom Seeds / Ajwain - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Hot Oil - 1 Teaspoon
  • Small Spinach Leaves / Palak ke chhote Patte - As Required
  • Oil - For frying

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, ginger chilli paste, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, all spice mix powder, coriander leaves, mix it well then add asafoetida, carom seeds by rubbing it between your palm ,now add water gradually to make lumps free medium consistency batter.
  2. Add hot oil in a batter and mix it well for 2 to 3 minutes and prepare fluffy batter.
  3. Meanwhile, heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium flame and when the oil is medium hot, dip a spinach leaves in the prepared batter and coat it evenly.
  4. Place it gently into the hot oil, when top surface turns light golden brown, flip them using a slotted spoon.
  5. Deep fry them until crispy and light golden brown from both sides, take them out using a slotted spoon.
  6. Take them out over a paper napkin in a plate to remove excess oil.
  7. Palak Ke Pakode is ready to serve.
