Paneer Frankie | Paneer Roll is a popular and mouthwatering snack.

Paneer Frankie | Paneer Roll is one of the best snacks and beats even the street side ones. This recipe yields a lip-smacking paneer roll. The stuffing consists of paneer, veggies, and spices. You can serve it as an evening snack or a brunch. If you have leftover roti or dough, then the recipe is very easy. It is healthy as it is consists of roti, paneer, and veggies. Ingredients

  • Roti/ paratha/ round flatbread - 1
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ginger - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Green chili - 1 finely chopped
  • Onion - 1 big-sized julienne
  • Capsicum - 1 small-sized julienne
  • Salt - as required
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paneer/ cottage cheese - 1 bowl julienne
  • Kasuri methi/ dry fenugreek leaves - as required
  • Chaat masala - as required
  • Pepper powder - a pinch
  • Coriander leaves - finely chopped as required for garnishing
  • Cabbage - shredded as required (optional)
  • Cheese - grated as required
  • Ghee - as required

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, ginger, and green chili. Saute it well.
  2. Further, add onion and capsicum. Saute it on medium to high flame.
  3. Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Saute it well.
  4. Now, add paneer and saute it on medium to high flame. Do not overcook.
  5. Add kasuri methi, chaat masala, pepper powder and saute it.
  6. Garnish it with the coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
  7. Take a roti, transfer the paneer filling in between the roti.
  8. Top it with the shredded cabbage and coriander leaves. Sprinkle the chaat masala and top it with the grated cheese.
  9. Roll both sides of the roti and make a wrap.
  10. Heat ghee in a pan. Place paneer roll on it and grease it with the ghee. Keep the flame medium.
  11. Now, flip it gently and turn off the flame.
  12. Delicious Paneer Frankie | Paneer Roll is ready to be served.
