Papad Pyaz Ki Sabji is a quick and delicious dish. You just need papad, onion, curd, and some spices to prepare this tasty sabji. It is an amazing dish to serve for dinner or lunch. It is quick to prepare within no time. In addition, this is the best option for your busy weekdays. It tastes great with hot roti, poori, or paratha. Tips and suggestions by the Mom Chef:

  • You can add roasted papad also to the sabji.
  • It is recommended to use room temperature curd.
  • Keep stirring continuously after adding curd mixture to the sabji till it starts to boil otherwise, curd will curdle.
  • If you want, you can add capsicum instead of onion and garlic.

Ingredients

  • Papad - 1
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic / Lahsun - 3 to 4 Cloves crushed
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirch - 1 to 2 Finely chopped
  • Curd / Dahi - 1 Cup whisked
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder / Dhaniya Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Water - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take curd in a bowl. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, garlic, green chilli, and onion. Mix well and saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame. Stir it in between.
  3. Then add the prepared curd mixture and mix well. Keep stirring continuously on high flame till it starts to boil.
  4. Then add papad pieces. Mix well and add a little water. Mix well and boil it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Once done, turn off the flame and garnish it with coriander leaves.
  6. 'Papad Pyaz Ki Sabji' is ready to be served.
