Pizza Roll | Pizza Frankie is a simple and time savory recipe. It has the goodness of veggies which makes it more nutritious. Mostly, frankies consists of mayonnaise, cheese, and sauces. You can add any sauce of your choice. Overall it is a simple yet delicious frankie recipe. Wrap or base was prepared from whole wheat flour dough. Serve it as a snack or as a light dinner or in a lunch box. Relish it with the tomato sauce or red chili sauce or any chutney as per your taste. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • All veggies added in the filling should be finely chopped.
  • Any cheese of your choice you can add.
  • Spread the filling properly so that it could not come out from the frankie or roll.
  • You can also use butter or ghee to shallow fry or roast it.
  • You can also add paneer or broccoli or baby corn.
  • Allow it to roast it on low to medium flame to have the crunchy and crispy frankie.
  • Adjust the spice and serve it hot for the better taste.

Ingredients

  • Onion - 1 small-sized finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 big-sized finely chopped
  • Green capsicum - 1 small-sized finely chopped
  • Corn kernels - 2 tablespoons
  • Cheese - grated as required
  • Salt - as required
  • Red chili flakes - as required
  • Pepper powder - a pinch
  • Mixed herbs - as required
  • Red chili sauce - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Tomato ketchup - 1 teaspoon
  • Roti/ Indian bread - 1
  • Oil - as required

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add onion, tomato, green capsicum, corn kernels, cheese, salt, red chili flakes, pepper powder, mixed herbs, red chili sauce, and tomato ketchup. Mix it properly.
  2. Take a roti and spread tomato ketchup in between.
  3. Now, spread filling over the ketchup properly and top it with the grated cheese. Roll it.
  4. Heat a pan and grease it with the oil and place frankie on it. Keep the flame low to medium.
  5. Apply some oil on the top of the frankie and flip it carefully.
  6. Roast or cook it until it becomes golden and crisp from both sides. Turn off the flame.
  7. Delicious Pizza Roll | Pizza Frankie is ready to be served.
