Potato Cheese Sandwich a lip-smacking sandwich for everyone.

Potato Cheese Sandwich is a very healthy and mouthwatering sandwich. This uses potato along with veggies like capsicum, tomato, onion and cheese. Cheese adds flavour, enhances the taste and make it more tempting. The sandwich made with potato is very popular across India and it is the most lovable snack among all age groups. This sandwich is not only tasty but healthy too. You can serve it as a breakfast or tiffin snack or as an evening tea-time snack. Moreover, it is very easy to prepare. All family members will enjoy this sandwich very much. So, try to make the sandwich at your end and let us know your feedback.

  • Available veggies of choice can be used.
  • Green chilli may be avoided if the sandwich is for kids. Or else, the spiciness can be adjusted to taste.
  • Make use of any one of white, brown, or multigrain bread for the sandwich..
  • You can use a sandwich maker as well to grill the sandwich.

Ingredients

  • Bread - 4 slices
  • Boiled potato - 2
  • Yellow and Red capsicum - 2 Tablespoon, finely chopped
  • Pyaz/Onion - 1 Tablespoon, finely chopped
  • Tamatar/Tomato - 1 Tablespoon, finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 1 to 2 Tablespoon, chopped
  • Green chilli - 1, finely chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black salt - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder - to taste
  • Chaat Masala - to taste
  • Red chilli flakes - to taste
  • Butter - as required
  • Cheese - as required
  • Namkeen Sev - as required for garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add mashed boiled potato, yellow and red capsicum, onion, tomato, coriander leaves, green chilli, a little salt, black salt, black pepper powder, chaat masala, and red chilli flakes. Mix all of them together.
  2. Take two bread slices and apply butter on side of each. Put the potato mixture on one buttered side of one bread and cover it with other bread slice with its buttered side facing the stuffing..
  3. Meanwhile, heat a tawa or pan. Grease it with butter.
  4. Grill the sandwich on the hot tawa from on both the sides. Apply butter on both the sides and grill it. Once done, take it out and cut into triangular pieces.
  5. Delicious 'Potato Cheese Sandwich ' is ready to be served. Garnish it with namkeen sev and serve.
