Pyaaz Ki Chutney is a lip-smacking chutney for everyone. 

Pyaaz Ki Chutney is a mouthwatering chutney that goes well with any type of snacks like kachori and samosa. This is a quick and easy chutney recipe using fewer ingredients. It gets ready without any hassle within minutes. This has tangy and spicy taste along with little caramelize taste of onion. This makes the chutney amazing side dish. This not only goes well with snacks but as a side dish for your meals. Everyone will love this chutney. So, try to make this chutney at home and let us know your feedback.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Instead of tamarind pulp, you can add lemon juice or amchur/dry mango powder to the chutney.
  • Add little sugar to the chutney for sweet ad tangy taste if you like.
  • You can store this chutney for 8 to 10 days in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

  • Onion - 2 medium sized finely chopped
  • Dry Red Chilli - 4
  • Chana Dal/Bengal Gram - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Urad dal without skin/Black gram without skin - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - 1 Tablespoon
  • INGREDIENTS FOR TADKA:-
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Curry Leaves - few
  • Tamarind Pulp - 2 Teaspoon
  • Grated Ginger - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Salt - as per taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan.
  2. Add asafoetida, mustard seeds, chana dal/bengal gram, urad dal/black gram without skin, coriander seeds, dry red chillies. Saute for few seconds.
  3. Then add finely chopped onion and saute. Add little salt and saute it until onion turns brownish. It will take around 2 to 3 minutes. Then let it cool completely.
  4. Grind the cooked onion by adding little water. Make smooth paste out of it.
  5. PREPARING TADKA:-
  6. Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan.
  7. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chilli, ginger. Saute for few seconds.
  8. Add onion paste, mix well and cook.
  9. Add salt and tamarind pulp, mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on a medium flame. Then switch off the flame.
  10. Delicious 'Pyaaz Ki Chutney' is ready to e served.
