Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 to 2 tablespoon
  • Jeera/Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dhanie ke patte/Coriander leaves - 1 handful
  • Pudina ke Patte/Mint leaves - 1 handful
  • Laung/Cloves - 4 no
  • Adrak/Ginger - 1 small piece
  • Shimla Mirch/Capsicum - 1 small piece
  • Hari mirchi/Green chilli - 1 no
  • Tamatar/Tomato - 2 no
  • Water as required
  • Salt as per taste
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon or as per taste
  • Garam Masala/All spice mix powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 pinch (optional)
  • Boiled Rajma/Kidney beans - 1 cup
  • Fresh milk cream - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak rajma/kidney beans overnight or for 6 to 7 hours in the day, while making for dinner
  2. Pressure cook the soaked rajma with salt for 4 to 5 whistles.
  3. In a grinder take the tomatoes, ginger, capsicum, green chili, cloves, coriander and pudina leaves. Add some water and make fine paste for gravy.
  4. In a pan, heat oil, put cumin seeds after it splutters, add gravy. As it boils, put salt as per taste.
  5. Put red chili powder, all spice mix powder, sugar, water as required, Let it cook and boil for 4 to 5 minutes.
  6. Now add rajma, fresh milk cream and mix well together. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. The Rajma Sabji Without Onion Garlic is ready to serve for dinner with hot roti, steamed rice or paratha.
