Rava Methi Dosa is a simple quick snack option for your family. You can prepare it for your kids tiffin box also. This dosa is good for diabetic patients too. Moreover, it doesn’t require overnight soaking and fermentation. The fenugreek leaves make it a more nutritious meal. Ingredients

  • Semolina / Rava / Sooji - 1 Cup
  • Gram Flour / Besan - 1/4 Cup
  • Oats powder - 1/4 Cup (optional)
  • Curd/ Dahi - 2/3 cup
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • Carom Seeds / Ajwain- 1/4 tsp
  • Sesame Seeds / Til - 1/4 tsp (optional)
  • Asafoetida/ Hing - A pinch
  • Fenugreek Leaves / Methi Leaves - 1/2 Cup Finely chopped
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 1 Finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • Oil - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take semolina in a mixing bowl. Add besan, oats powder, curd, red chilli powder, and salt.
  2. Add water gradually to prepare a lump-free and medium consistency batter.
  3. Then add carom seeds, sesame seeds, asafoetida, fenugreek leaves, green chilli, and coriander leaves. Mix well. Let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with oil. Then pour the batter on the tawa and spread it to make dosa.
  5. Pour some drops of oil on it and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame.
  6. Then flip it and cook it for 2 minutes till it becomes golden and crispy. Once done, take it out to a serving plate.
  7. 'Rava Methi Dosa' is ready to be served.
