Rice Dosa | Instant Rice Dosa is a perfect breakfast dish.

Rice Dosa | Instant Rice Dosa is a crispy and spicy dosa. This is an instant version of dosa and hence it does not require a fermentation or grinding process. Moreover, it does not require fruit salt or baking soda as well. It can be an easy instant breakfast prepared with rice flour, spices, and veggies. You can serve this crispy, flaky rice flour dosa with any chutney or sambhar. In addition, this instant dosa is a good option when you run out of ideas for what to make in breakfast.   • The ratio of water to rice flour is 2:1.
  • Finely chopped carrot can be added to the batter.

Ingredients

  • Rice flour / Chawal ka aata - 1 Cup
  • Semolina / Sooji - 2 Teaspoons
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 Teaspoon
  • Water - 2 Cups
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 1 Finely chopped
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 2 Finely chopped
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - As required

Instructions

  1. Take rice flour in a bowl. Add semolina, salt. Mix well.
  2. Add onion, tomato, and green chilli. Mix well and prepare thin consistency batter. Give rest to the batter for 5 to 7 minutes or you can use it instantly.
  3. After 5 to 7 minutes, mix well the batter.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Pour the batter on the tawa using a small bowl to make dosa.
  5. Pour some ghee on top. Cook it on a medium flame till it becomes crispy.
  6. Once done, take it out into a serving plate.
