Roti Tacos is a healthy fusion dish.

Roti Tacos is a unique, flavourful, and colorful dish. You can easily make this super dish with the benefits of veggies in a different way. It is the best option for kids tiffin. In addition, it can be consumed as a snack or as a starter at a birthday or kitty party, get-together, or on special occasions with tomato ketchup. Moreover, you can have it with cold beverages as well. You can easily add vegetables to your kid’s daily meal with this idea. So try to make this recipe in your kitchen and enjoy it with your friends and family and share your valuable feedback with us.

Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING STUFFING :
  • Oil - 1 Tablespoon
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Ginger / Adrakh - 1 Inch grated
  • Green chilli / Hari mirch - 1 Finely chopped
  • Capsicum - 1 Finely chopped
  • Sweet corn - 1/2 Cup
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Boiled potatoes / Aloo - 2 to 3 Peeled and mashed
  • Red Chilli Flakes - 1 Teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1 Teaspoon
  • FOR PREPARING DOUGH :
  • Whole wheat flour / Gehu ka aata - 2 Cups
  • Oil - 1 Tablespoon
  • Water - As required
  • FOR PREPARING TACOS :
  • Half cooked roti - 3
  • Tomato ketchup - As required
  • Potato stuffing - As required
  • Grated cheese - As required
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - As Required

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING THE STUFFING :
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion. Mix well. Now add ginger, green chilli, and capsicum. Mix well and saute it for 2 to 3 minutes on a high flame.
  3. Then add corn, coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well. Now add potato. Mix well.
  4. Add red chilli flakes, roasted cumin seeds powder, all spice mix powder. Mix well. Once done, turn off the flame. Keep it aside and let it cool down.
  5. FOR PREPARING THE ROTI TACOS :
  6. Take whole wheat flour in a bowl. Add salt and oil. Then add water gradually and prepare a medium consistency dough from it.
  7. Take a medium ball-sized portion of the dough, shape it into a ball and flatten it. Roll it and prepare a small-sized roti.
  8. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Place the roti on the tawa. Cook it on a high flame from one side till it becomes slightly brown.
  9. Flip it to cook the other side as well. Once it is half cooked from both sides, transfer it to a plate.
  10. Apply ketchup on it. Then add cheese and potato stuffing to the half roti. Again, add cheese to it. Fold it from the middle and press it.
  11. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with ghee and place the prepared roti tacos.
  12. Apply ghee and roast it from both sides by pressing it on low to medium flame till become crispy. Likewise, prepare all roti tacos.
  13. Once it is done. Take it out on the serving plate.
  14. 'Roti Tacos' is ready to be served with ketchup.
