Suji Ke Pakode | Sooji Ke Pakode is a srcumptious tea-time snack for everyone. 

Suji Ke Pakode | Sooji Ke Pakode is a crispy snack with a soft centre. This is quick and easy to prepare using easily available ingredients. This has a nice crunchy taste of peanuts. You can serve this pakoda as a tea-time snack to your family. All family members will love this pakode. Moreover, this is very simple and easy to prepare. So, try to make this snack at home and let us know your feedback.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • If you do not have peanuts, you can add chopped cashew nuts to the batter.
  • Rest the batter for at least 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Add baking soda to the batter just before frying.
  • Fry the pakode on a medium flame once the oil is hot.
  • Serve the pakode with Green Chutney.

Ingredients

  • Sooji/Semolina - 1 cup
  • Roasted and crushed Peanuts OR Cashew Nuts - 1/2 cup
  • Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Grated Ginger - a ½ inch piece
  • Green Chilli - 2, chopped
  • Onion - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup chopped
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Red Chilli Powder/Lal Mirch Powder - a pinch
  • Chaat Masala - to taste
  • Black pepper powder - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Baking Soda - a pinch or two
  • Oil - for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add and mix well semolina, roasted and crushed peanuts, curd, grated ginger, chopped green chilli, chopped onion, coriander leaves, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, and chaat masala.
  2. Add water to make a thick batter. Then cover and rest it for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Now, heat oil for frying on a high flame. Once the oil is hot, lower the flame.
  4. Add baking soda to the batter. Mix well.
  5. Make small pakode and fry them on a medium flame. Once they turn nice golden brown all over, take them out.
  6. Delicious 'Suji Ke Pakode | Sooji Ke Pakode' is ready to be served with green chutney and tea.
