Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:
- If fine semolina is not available, then grind the coarse semolina to make it fine.
- You can prepare this cake using maida instead of whole wheat flour.
- Sweetness can be adjusted as per taste.
- Any type of odorless oil can be used to prepare this cake.
- Baking powder and baking soda should be added just before baking.
- Don’t open the door of OTG while the cake is baking.
- The cake batter should be medium thick otherwise the cake will become hard.
- You can dust the oil greased cake tin with maida as well instead of putting butter paper into it.
- Fill the cake tin 3/4 with the cake batter.
- Prepare this cake in a 7-to-8-inch cake tin.
- You can prepare the cake in the bati cooker as well on low flame.
- FOR PREPARING CAKE IN A PAN / COOKER:
- Take a heavy bottom pan\cooker. Put a big, heightened ring/bowl. Then put a plate on it.
- Now heat the prepared heavy bottom pan for 10 minutes on low flame.
- Bake the cake for 45 to 50 minutes on low flame.
