Tawa Mirchi Fry is an instant preparation from Rajasthani Cuisine.

Tawa Mirchi Fry is a quick and easy dish of green chillies. The big sized green chillies are stuffed with cumin and salt then cooked on tawa. It is seasoned with chaat masala, black salt and roasted cumin powder which enhances the taste and flavour. This goes well with almost every meal of the day and even with poori, different types of paratha. This spicy treat will be loved by all in the house. So, try this instant preparation at home and enjoy your meals.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • If the chillies are spicy then remove the seeds.
  • You can use amchur powder/dry mango powder instead of chaat masala.

Ingredients

  • Green Chilli - 5 big sized
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Cumin Seeds - as required
  • Ghee/Clarified Butter - 1 Teaspoon
  • Black Salt - as per taste
  • Chaat Masala - as per taste
  • Roasted cumin powder - as per taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the green chillies. Then make a long slit.
  2. Stuff salt and cumin seeds inside the chillies.
  3. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Add ghee.
  4. Put stuffed chillies on the tawa
  5. Sprinkle black salt, chaat masala, and roasted cumin powder on the chillies.
  6. Keep turning the chillies over until they are cooked all over. It will take 2 to 3 minutes to cook. Do not over cook the chillies, keep them a little crunchy.
  7. Once done, take out on a plate.
  8. Yummy 'Tawa Mirchi Fry' is ready to be served.
