Veg Burger | Aloo Tikki Burger is the most famous snack. 

Veg Burger | Aloo Tikki Burger is a kids favorite dish. It is so easy to make a restaurant style burger at home within no time. Crispy golden potato tikki are sandwiched between burger buns and then topped with veggies and slathered with tomato ketchup and veg mayonnaise. In addition, the soft and fresh English Oven Burger bun will complete this delicious dish. This is a nice idea to serve this dish for kids lunch box, office lunch box, and dinner, or during get together. So try to prepare it at home and enjoy it with family and friends.   • FOR PREPARING ALOO TIKKI :
  • You can add bread crumbs as required.
  • The bread crumbs coated tikki should be kept in the freezer for minimum 15 minutes or for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • The ratio of maida to corn flour for slurry should be 1:1.
  • The corn flour slurry should be medium thick.

Ingredients

  • English oven burger bun - 1
  • FOR PREPARING ALOO TIKKI :
  • Boiled potato / Aloo - 2 Peeled and mashed
  • Dry mango powder / Aamchur - 1/2 tsp
  • Black salt / Kala namak - 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste / Lahsun paste - 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Red chilli flakes - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 tsp + 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • Bread crumbs - As required
  • Oil - For Shallow frying
  • Corn flour - 1 tbsp
  • All purpose flour / Maida - 1 tbsp
  • Water - As required
  • FOR PREPARING ALOO TIKKI BURGER :
  • Butter - As required
  • Tomato ketchup - As required
  • Veg mayonnaise - As required
  • Cheese slice - 2
  • Aloo tikki - 1
  • Tomato slices / Tamatar slices - 2
  • Onion slices / Pyaz slices - 2
  • Red chilli flakes - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING ALOO TIKKI :
  2. Take maida and corn flour in a bowl. Add water gradually and prepare lumps free medium thick consistency slurry. Add salt and 1/4 tsp of red chilli powder. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  3. Take mashed potato in a bowl. Add dry mango powder, black salt, chaat masala, garlic paste, red chilli flakes, salt, all spice mix powder, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, coriander leaves, and 2 to 3 tsp of bread crumbs. Mix well.
  4. Take a big ball-sized portion of the mixture. Press it with your hands and prepare flattened tikki.
  5. Now coat the tikki in the prepared slurry. Take bread crumbs to a plate. Coat the slurry-dipped tikki with the bread crumbs.
  6. Then take it out in a plate and keep it in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan for shallow frying over medium flame. Place the prepared tikki in a pan. Shallow fry it on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  8. Flip it and shallow fry it from another side on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Once done, take it out on a plate. Keep it aside.
  9. FOR PREPARING ALOO TIKKI BURGER :
  10. Heat a tawa over medium flame. Grease it with butter. Place the burger bun in a tawa. Toast it lightly from outsides. Once done, take it out to a serving plate.
  11. Apply tomato ketchup and veg mayonnaise on the inner part of the lower burger bun. Put a cheese slice on it.
  12. Then put the prepared aloo tikki on it. Add tomato slices and onion slices. Sprinkle red chilli flakes on it.
  13. Add tomato ketchup and veg mayonnaise on it. Again put a cheese slice on it. Cover it with an upper burger bun. Secure it with a toothpick.
  14. 'Veg Burger | Aloo Tikki Burger' is ready to be served.
