Veg Seekh Kabab is a lip-smacking snack famous across India.

Veg Seekh Kabab is an all-time favourite snack. This yummy appetizer is loaded with lots of veggies and has different flavours in one dish. This is super easy to make with easily available ingredients. This is a good way to feed veggies to the kids and all family members. This can be a good party snack or a tea time snack for your family and friends. Everyone will love this kabab and will demand for more. Moreover, it is nutritious as it uses lots of veggies. So, try to make this kabab at home and let us know your feedback.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can use veggies of your choice to make the kabab.
  • The ratio of veggies and boiled potato should be the same.
  • Cook the kabab on a low flame.
  • Roasted besan or gram flour is used for binding. You can use it for binding to make other dishes as well.
  • Sere this kabab with Turai Ke Chilke Ki Chutney.

Ingredients

  • Boiled Potato - 1 Cup
  • Cabbage - 2 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Carrot - 2 Tablespoon boiled
  • French Beans - 2 Tablespoon boiled
  • Green Peas - 2 Tablespoon boiled
  • Onion - 2 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Coriander Leaves - a handful chopped
  • Mint Leaves - a handful chopped
  • Garlic - 1/2 Teaspoon finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1/2 Teaspoon finely chopped
  • Green Chilli - 1/2 Teaspoon finely chopped
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon or as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala/All spice mix - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Amchur/Dry Mango Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Roasted Besan/Gram Flour - 1 Tablespoon
  • Oil - as required for roasting + 1 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take a pan, add 1 teaspoon oil and heat it.
  2. Add garlic, ginger and green chilli. Saute for few seconds
  3. Then add chopped onion and saute it until translucent.
  4. Now, add cabbage and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Then add boiled carrot, french beans, green peas. Mix well and cook. Add coriander and mint leaves. Mix well and cook for a minute then switch off the gas. Let the mixture cool completely.
  6. Take a grinder jar and add above mixture. Crush it coarsely then transfer to a bowl.
  7. Add mashed potato same as the quantity of veggies. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, dry mango powder, roasted gram flour. Mix well together.
  8. Make long cylindrical kabab and skewer it.
  9. Heat a tawa or a pan. Grease it with oil. Cook the kabab on a low flame from all sides. Once cooked, take out on a serving plate.
  10. Delicious 'Veg Seekh Kabab' is ready to be served with chutney.
