Vegetable Sandwich is one of the famous street food of Maharashtra, Bombay Grilled Sandwich. All you need to prepare this sandwich recipe is brown bread, cucumber, onion, capsicum, and tomato. The best thing about this sandwich recipe is its taste, which is so simple that you can grab a bite of it anytime. This sandwich recipe can be packed for tiffin as well. You can also use an open grill or use a stovetop toaster to make these sandwiches. Grilling the veg sandwich makes the bread slices golden crisp and many people like it that way. Ingredients

  • Whole wheat/white/multigrain bread - 2 slices
  • Butter (salted/unsalted) - as required
  • Cheese slice - 1
  • Cucumber - 1 small finely sliced
  • Tomato - 1 small finely sliced
  • Onion - 1 small finely julienne
  • Color capsicum(red, green, yellow) - 1 small finely julienne
  • Salt - as required
  • Chaat masala - as required
  • Mixed herbs - as required
  • Red chili flakes - as required
  • Tomato ketchup - as required
  • Grated cheese - as required (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take a slice of bread and spread butter on it.
  2. Place a cheese slice on it.
  3. Now, place cucumber, tomato, onion, and capsicum.
  4. Sprinkle salt, chaat masala, mixed herbs red chili flakes and grated cheese on it.
  5. Now, cover it with tomato ketchup spread bread sliced.
  6. Take a griller and grease it with butter.
  7. Place sandwich in it and grill until golden.
  8. Now, transfer the sandwich to the serving plate and cut it into halves.
  9. Delicious Vegetable Sandwich is ready to be served.
