White Pulav | Mix veg Rice is so quick, easy, and satisfying pulav with great taste and texture.

White Pulav | Mix veg Rice made with rice, vegetables, and spices, gives it a mild aromatic flavor. The dish is great on its own or paired with a raita or pickle. This recipe uses whole garam masala spices, rather than adding any pulav or pav bhaji masala. Thus the aroma of the spices is distinctly felt in the dish. It is mildly spicy and has a great rich taste. It can be served as dinner or lunch or breakfast or in a Tiffin box. All-time favorite and healthy as it is rich with vegetables.   • The most important thing in a pulav is that the rice grains are cooked perfectly without sticking or becoming mushy.
  • You can use any type of long-grained rice and short-grained rice varieties.
  • It is always better to soak your rice for 20 to 30 minutes before cooking.

Ingredients

  • Ghee - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Bay leaf - 1 leaf
  • Cinnamon - 1 small-sized
  • Cardamom - 1
  • Clove - 2
  • Green chili - 1 slit
  • Onion - 1 small-sized julienne
  • Cashew - 10 to 11 slit
  • Carrot - 1/2 bowl chopped (optional)
  • French beans - 1/2 bowl chopped
  • Green peas - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - as required
  • Rice - 1 bowl boiled
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan.
  2. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, green chili, and onion. Saute it.
  3. Add cashew, carrot, and french beans. Saute it and keep the flame high.
  4. Add green peas(keep it for 5 minutes in boiling water before using it) and salt. Keep the flame low and cover it for 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Add rice(boil it before use). Add salt again, as I didn't add salt while boiling rice. Saute it properly that the rice should not break.
  6. Cook for a minute and turn off the flame.
  7. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  8. Delicious White Pulav | Mix veg Rice is ready to be served.
