Whole Wheat Flour Kulcha is a popular North Indian flatbread.

Whole Wheat Flour Kulcha is delicious and easy to make. It contains wheat flour, curd, nigella seeds, and coriander leaves. The ingredients are easily available at every house. If you are bored with regular chapati then this is the best thing to try. It goes very well with dal makhani, paneer curry, etc.  Everyone in your family will love it. Moreover, it is healthy.   • Use milk to knead the dough.
  • Milk and curd should be at room temperature.
  • If you want you can also spread chopped garlic and red chili flakes on kulcha.
  • You can serve this with dal makhani or paneer curry.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:-
  • Whole Wheat Flour / Gehu Ka Aata - 2 Cups And For Dusting Kulcha
  • Fresh Curd / Taaji Dahi - 2 Tablespoon
  • Milk / Dudh - As Required
  • Baking Soda / Meetha Soda - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Salt - To Taste
  • Oil - As Required
  • INGREDIENTS FOR SPREADING ON KULCHA
  • Nigella Seeds / Kalonji - As Required
  • Coriander Leaves / Dhaniya Patta - As Required, Chopped
  • Water - As Required For Brushing
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee - As Required

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add whole wheat flour, curd, baking soda and salt. Mix it well.
  2. Now knead the dough by adding milk. Add oil and knead it.
  3. Cover the dough with wet muslin cloth. Let it rest for 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. After that, again knead the dough adding little oil.
  5. Now take a portion of the dough to roll it into medium sized kulcha.
  6. Make round shaped kulcha with the rolling pin.
  7. Now brush water on one side of the kulcha, spread nigella seeds and coriander leaves. Slightly press it.
  8. Heat a pan/tawa. Place kulcha on it with the spreaded nigella seeds and coriander leaves on the top.
  9. Let it cook on medium to slow gas flame.
  10. Flip it. Apply clarified butter on both sides and press slightly.
  11. Roast it from both sides.
  12. Yummy 'Whole Wheat Flour Kulcha' is ready to be served.
