Bajre ki Kadhi | Bajra Kadhi is a simple and easy kadhi prepared from bajra flour, buttermilk, and spices. It has an amazing flavor of garlic and spices. Bajra is rich in magnesium, which helps to keep the heart-healthy. It has potassium, which dilates blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. It is preferred mostly during the winter season. Serve this delicious Kadhi with bajre ki roti, lesun ki chutney, and masala chaas. It is an authentic kadhi recipe. Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 to 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Bajra flour/ pearl millet flour - 1/2 cup
  • Garlic - 3 to 4 cloves pounded
  • Red chili powder - as required
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 to 2 teaspoons
  • Salt - as required
  • Water - as required
  • Chaas/ buttermilk - 4 cups or as required
  • Curry leaves - 8 to 9
  • Spring onions - 2 to 3 finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Strain the bajra flour before using it.
  2. Take a bowl and add bajra flour and pour some buttermilk. Mix it properly and keep it aside.
  3. Take a bowl and add garlic, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and coriander powder. Mix it and prepare a paste and keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and the above prepared masala. Saute it well.
  5. Add red chili powder and pour some water. Mix it well.
  6. Pour bajra flour buttermilk mixture and mix it well.
  7. Further, pour the buttermilk and some water. Mix it well and allow it to boil. (Add buttermilk and water as per your desired consistency.)
  8. Add curry leaves and stir it. Allow it to boil for 5 to 7 minutes.
  9. Add spring onion and stir it well. Turn off the flame.
  10. Delicious Bajre ki Kadhi | Bajra Kadhi is ready to be served.
