Ingredients

  • Oil - 2 Tablespoon
  • Mustard Seeds / Rai - 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida / Hing - 1 Pinch
  • Curry Leaves / kadhi Patta - Few Leaves
  • Beans - 2 Cup Finely Chopped
  • Salt - As Per Taste
  • Water - As Required
  • FOR PARPOSLI :
  • Chana Dal / Bengal Gram - 4 - 5 Teaspoon Soaked( For 1 Hour)
  • Dry Red Chilies / Sukhi Lal Mirchi - 7 - 8 Soaked
  • Salt - As Per Taste
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida / Hing - 1 Pinch
  • Oil - 1 Teaspoon
  • Grated Fresh Coconut - 1 Cup

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, turmeric powder, asafoetida, curry leaves and then add beans and mix it well.
  2. Now add salt and little bit of water then cover the pan with lid and cook.
  3. FOR PARPOSLI :
  4. Take soaked chana dal and dry red chilies in a grinding jar and after grinding add salt, turmeric powder, asafoetida and grind again to prepare its paste.
  5. Heat pan, add oil then add prepared mixer in the pan and saute it for 4 to 6 minutes.
  6. Now add parposli mixture in the beans pan and mix it well then add grated coconut and mix it again and transfer in a serving bowl.
  7. Beans Poriyal | Beans Sabji South Indian Style is ready to serve.
