Ingredients

  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic / Lahsun - 3 to 4 cloves finely chopped
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful + For garnishing
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirch - 1 Finely chopped + 1 Slit
  • Whole Wheat Dough / Gehu Ka Aata - As required
  • Whole Wheat Flour / Gehu Ka Aata - As required
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1/2 Chopped
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 1/2 chopped
  • Curd / Dahi - 1/2 Cup
  • Lemon Juice / Nimbu Ka Ras - 3 to 4 drops
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - As required
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take butter in a bowl. Add garlic, coriander leaves, and green chilli. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  2. Take the medium-soft wheat dough and make a round shaped big circular peda from the dough. Dust it with flour and roll a peda to make a paratha.
  3. Apply the prepared butter mixture on it. Then sprinkle dry whole wheat flour on it. Cut the paratha in the 1/4 portion.
  4. Start folding the paratha from the left side to make a triangle shape. Press its edges. Dust it with flour and roll it with light hands to make a paratha.
  5. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Place the paratha on it and cook it on one side. Flip it, once it is slightly brown.
  6. Apply ghee on both sides and cook on a low flame. Press the paratha while cooking to make it crispy. Once done, transfer it to a serving plate.
  7. Take onion and tomato on a serving plate. add lemon juice on it. Add slit green chilli and garnish it with coriander leaves. Sprinkle salt and red chilli powder.
  8. Take curd on a serving plate. Add salt and red chilli powder on it. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  9. 'Butter Garlic Paratha With Salad And Curd' is ready to be served.
