Schzewan Cheese Coin Vada is a unique recipe for starter or an appetizer.

Schzewan Cheese Coin Vada is a simple and easy recipe with minimum efforts. The ingredients are besan/gram flour, cheese, bread, and spices. Firstly, we have to make the batter and then cut the bread into desired pieces and then make a coin and dip properly in the batter, and lastly deep fry it. You can cut the bread with the help of a cutter, if you do not have the cutter then use any small bowl or cup to give it a shape. Relish the cheese coin vada with schezwan sauce or tomato sauce or green chutney or you can eat as it is also. Try to prepare it at home and enjoy it with family and friends. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Any type of bread such as white, whole wheat, or multigrain bread.
  • The batter should be of a medium consistency.
  • To avoid lumps, it should be ensured to whisk the batter properly.
  • If cheese slice is not available, grated cheese can be used.
  • If Schezwan sauce is not available, red chili in tomato sauce can be added and applied on bread.
  • Its spiciness should be adjusted to taste, and it should be served hot for better taste.

Ingredients

  • Besan/Gram flour - 1 bowl
  • Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Periperi - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - as required
  • Coriander leaves - 1 teaspoon, finely chopped
  • Water - as required
  • Schezwan sauce - as required
  • Cheese slice - as required
  • White bread - 2 slices

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add besan, red chili flakes, peri peri, chaat masala, oregano, salt, and coriander leaves.
  2. Add water little by little to form a medium-consistency batter. Whisk it properly to avoid lumps.
  3. Now, take the bread slice and cut it into any shape using a cutter.
  4. Spread Schezwan sauce on the bread pieces.
  5. Now, place cheese on the bread piece and cover it with another piece of bread with Schezwan sauce spread on it.
  6. Further, dip the cheese coin in the above batter. Roll it so that batter should coats the coin properly.
  7. Heat enough oil in a pan and place the coins in it and deep fry them.
  8. Fry the coins on a low to medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes until they become golden and crisp.
  9. Delicious 'Schzewan Cheese Coin Vada' is ready to be served.
