Kadhai Paneer Sandwich is a mouthwatering and unique recipe.

Kadhai Paneer Sandwich is simple and a quick recipe.  The recipe is prepares in very minimum time with the minimum and easily available ingredients. It is a healthy recipe as it consists of paneer and lots of veggies. The veggies and paneer cooked in the kadhai or pan, therefore the name of the recipe is kadhai paneer sandwich. It is an open-ended sandwich as you can add veggies of your choice and spices of your choice. Try to prepare it and enjoy it with family and friends. Share your feedback in the comment section.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • If possible, use fresh homemade paneer.
  • The masala needs to coat the paneer cubes well, and the paneer should absorb the spices well for it to taste right.
  • In this recipe whole wheat bread has been used to make these sandwiches. You can however use any bread of your choice, such as brown bread, white bread, multigrain bread, or whole wheat sandwich bread.
  • Serve the sandwich with coriander chutney and tomato sauce.
  • Adjust the spice to your taste and serve it hot.

Ingredients

  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Mixed herbs - as required
  • Red chilli flakes - as required
  • Onion - 1/2 cup, julienned
  • Green capsicum - 1/2 cup, julienned
  • Salt - as required
  • Paneer/ cottage cheese - 1/2 cup cubed
  • Coriander leaves - a fistful, finely chopped
  • Tomato ketchup - 1 teaspoon
  • Whole wheat/white/multigrain bread - 2 slices
  • Cheese - as required, grated

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a heated pan.
  2. Add mixed herbs, red chili flakes, onion, and capsicum. Sauté it well on a medium flame.
  3. Thereafter, add salt, and paneer cubes. Sauté but do not overcook the paneer cubes.
  4. Add coriander leaves, and tomato sauce. Sauté well and turn off the flame.
  5. Now, take 2 slices of bread and spread butter on each slice.
  6. Top the filling on both the slices and sprinkle mixed herbs and grated cheese on them.
  7. Melt butter, on a heated pan and place both the bread slices on the pan.
  8. Cover and cook it on a low to medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes and turn off the flame.
  9. Transfer it to a serving plate and cut it into halves.
  10. Delicious 'Kadhai Paneer Sandwich' is ready to be served.
