Karele Ki Sabji is a healthy dish. Karela/Bitter Gourd has many health benefits. So, here is a wonderful recipe to include the bitter gourd in the form of sabji in your diet. It requires spices red chili powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds powder etc. The dry mango powder makes the dish a slight sour to tangy in taste. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
- If the seeds of the bitter gourd are ripe, then it will be more bitter to taste.
- First wash the bitter gourd, slit open and remove its seeds. Cut the bitter gourd in small pieces. Apply salt on the pieces, rest for 2 hours. As it will ooze out water, after 2 hours, squeeze out the water by pressing with the hands.
- If you want, you can add the raw mango pieces while preparing the dish.
- This dish preparation requires more amount of oil.
