Ingredients

  • Leftover roti - 1
  • Oil - For frying
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 1 Finely chopped
  • Boiled Potato/ Aloo - 1 Peeled and chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Chaat Masala - As required
  • Green chutney - As required
  • Tamarind chutney / Imli ki chutney - As required
  • Curd / Dahi - As required whisked
  • Nylon Sev - As Required
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirchi powder - As required
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - As required
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful

Instructions

  1. Take a leftover roti and with the help of a fork, make an indentation on it.
  2. Now pick up the roti from one side and secure it with toothpicks. Likewise, secure another 3 sides of the roti to make a square shape. Add one toothpick in between square.
  3. Heat oil in a pan to fry roti. Place prepared roti into the hot oil.
  4. Then deep fry it on high flame until it turns crispy and golden brown from all sides. Then, take it out on a serving plate using a slotted spoon.
  5. Now let it cool down for a few seconds. Then remove all toothpicks.
  6. Now add onion, tomato, and boiled potato. Then sprinkal salt and chaat masala on it.
  7. Add green chutney, tamarind chutney, and curd to it. Then add nylon sev to it.
  8. Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, and chaat masala to it. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
