Khaman Dhokla | Instant Besan Dhokla is a soft, spongy savoury cake. This instant recipe requires gram flour, green chilli, fruit salt and a tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves. This is spicy, little sweet in taste. It is a favourite of my daughter and Its been 10 years now that I have been making it as a breakfast dish for my family. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
- This is an instant recipe requires fruit salt which must be added to the batter immediately before putting the batter in the steamer to get soft and spongy dhokla.
- To steam the dhokla, the mould should be put in the steamer only after the water in the steamer starts boiling.
- Citric acid can be replaced with lemon juice.
- The dhokla should be demoulded only after it cools down completely.
