Ingredients

  • Homemade Malai - 1 tbsp + For garnishing
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp + For garnishing
  • Desiccated Coconut Powder / Nariyal Ka Burada - 1 tsp (optional) + For garnishing
  • Dry Nuts (Almonds & Pistachios) - 1 tbsp Finely chopped + For garnishing
  • Cardamom Powder / Elaichi Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Whole Wheat Dough / Gehu Ka Aata - As required
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take homemade malai in a bowl. Add sugar, desiccated coconut powder, dry fruits, and cardamom powder. Mix well.
  2. Take a small ball sized wheat dough and make a round shaped circular peda from the dough. Dust it with flour and roll a peda to make a paratha.
  3. Apply ghee to it and spread the prepared malai mixture on it. Now make a roll from it. Then slightly press it to make a little thin roll.
  4. Then roll it over to make a circle and press it with your hands. Dust it with flour and slightly spread it with your hands. Then roll it with light hands to make a little thick paratha.
  5. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with ghee. Place the prepared paratha on the tawa. Cook it from one side.
  6. Flip it once it is slightly brown, apply ghee to the paratha and cook it from both sides on a low to medium flame. Press the paratha while cooking it to make it crispy.
  7. Once done. Take it out to the serving plate. Garnish it with homemade malai, sugar, desiccated coconut powder, and dry fruits.
  8. 'Malai Dry Nuts Paratha' is ready to be served.
