Mix Veg Poha Paratha is a healthy and nutritious dish.

Mix Veg Poha Paratha is loaded with vegetables. This paratha needs multigrain flours, vegetables, and some spices. The style to prepare this paratha is very unique. We didn’t use a rolling pin to roll it. You can prepare it on a wet muslin cloth. You can consume it as a high fiber, carbohydrate, and rich-in fiber dish for any time meal. It goes well with pickle, curd, or any type of chutney. In addition, it is a perfect tiffin snack for busy mornings. Ingredients

  • Flattened rice / Poha - 1/4 Cup
  • Semolina / Sooji - 2 Teaspoons
  • Whole wheat flour / Gehu ka aata - 4 Teaspoons
  • Gram flour / Besan - 2 Teaspoons
  • Sesame seeds / Til - 1 Teaspoon
  • Fennel seeds powder / Saunf powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Cabbage / Patta gobhi - 2 Teaspoons grated
  • Carrot / Gajar - 2 Teaspoons grated
  • Capsicum - 2 Teaspoons finely chopped
  • Fenugreek leaves / Methi - 3 Teaspoons finely chopped
  • Spinach / Palak - 2 Teaspoons finely chopped
  • Onion / Pyaz - 2 Teaspoons finely chopped (optional)
  • Ginger-green chili paste / Adrakh-hari mirchi paste - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • Water - As required
  • Oil - 2 Teaspoons + For roasting

Instructions

  1. Wash the poha. Then rinse the water. Keep it aside for 5 minutes.
  2. Take soaked poha in a bowl. Add semolina, whole wheat flour, gram flour, sesame seeds, fennel seeds powder, cabbage, carrot, capsicum, fenugreek leaves, spinach, onion, ginger-green chilli paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, and asafoetida. Mix well.
  3. Add water gradually to knead the medium consistency dough. Add 2 Teaspoons of oil. Knead it well.
  4. Now take a wet muslin cloth. Take a ball-sized dough. Spread it on the wet muslin cloth using fingers to prepare the paratha.
  5. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Take the prepared paratha on hand with a wet cloth. Flip it on the other hand and immediately remove the wet cloth.
  6. Put the prepared paratha on tawa. Make 6 to 7 holes in between the paratha. Pour oil into the all holes.
  7. Roast from one side on low flame. Flip it once it is slightly brown. Roast it from both sides on low flame.
  8. Once done. Take it out to the serving plate. Likewise, prepare another paratha.
  9. 'Mix Veg Poha Paratha' is ready to be served.
