Mooli Paratha | Mooli Ke Parathe is a lip-smacking meal for everyone.  

Want to make something different and tasty. Then try this ‘Mooli Paratha | Mooli Ke Parathe’ which is a mouthwatering and fulfilling meal. You can serve it for breakfast or dinner or even in the kid’s tiffin. This paratha is quick and easy to prepare using fewer ingredients. The good thing is it does not require much time to cook. You just need to mix the radish along with its leaves with flour and some of the spices. This is a flavourful paratha and it very healthy as well. So, try to make it at home and enjoy with your family. Do share your feedback as well.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Squeeze the water of grated radish completely so that the dough will need little flour.
  • Add whole wheat flour just for binding the ingredients. Rest the dough for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Cook the paratha on a low flame until half cooked. Then only apply ghee and roast it on high flame. Else the paratha will taste raw.
  • You can serve this paratha with any type of pickle or raita.

Ingredients

  • Mooli/White Radish - 1 Grated
  • Mooli Ke Patte/Radish Leaves - 1/2 Cup finely chopped
  • Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Green Chilli - 1 finely chopped or as per taste
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Gehu Ka Aata/Whole Wheat Flour - as required
  • Oil - 2 Teaspoon
  • Ghee/Clarified Butter - as required for roasting
  • Butter - as required for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the radish leaves. Then chop them finely. Grate the radish and squeeze the water completely.
  2. Now, take a bowl and add grated radish, chopped radish leaves, onion, green chilli, salt. Mix well.
  3. Then add whole wheat flour just for binding and oil. Knead the dough. Do not add water to it. If you have time then rest the dough for at least for 10 minutes.
  4. Then take a small portion of the dough, dust it with the flour and roll it.
  5. Meanwhile, heat a tawa on high flame.
  6. Once the tawa it hot, lower the flame and grease it with ghee. Then cook the paratha on a low flame from both the sides.
  7. Once the paratha is cooked little bit from both the sides, then apply ghee and roast it on a high flame.
  8. Once the paratha is completely cooked, put butter on it and transfer to the serving plate.
  9. Delicious 'Mooli Paratha | Mooli Ke Parathe' is ready to be served.
