Moong Dal Bread Pakoda is a delicious and healthy pakoda for everyone. 

Moong Dal Bread Pakoda is a crispy and mouthwatering snack for everyone. This needs moong dal/yellow lentils, bread, some spices and little oil only. This is a healthier version of break pakoda which is shallow fried. Moreover, this is quick and easy to prepare. You can serve it as an evening tea-time snack to your family and guests or a party appetizer or morning breakfast as well. Everyone will love this snack and they will demand you for more. You do not have to worry about it as well because it uses less oil. So, try to make this pakoda at home and enjoy with your family and friends.

Ingredients

  • Moong Dal/Yellow Lentil/Green Gram without skin - 1 Cup
  • Brown Bread - 3 to 4 slice
  • Coriander Leaves - a handful
  • Green Chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Red Chilli powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Chaat Masala - as per taste
  • Oil - as required

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the moong dal/yellow lentil/green gram without skin for 2 hours. Then drain the water and grind it to make smooth little thick paste. Transfer to the bowl.
  2. Add chopped coriander leaves, finely chopped green chilli, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, chaat masala. Mix well.
  3. Now, cut the bread slice into two.
  4. Heat a tawa and add oil for shallow frying.
  5. Dip the bread pieces in the batter and shallow fry them on a low flame from both the sides.
  6. Once the bread pakoda turns nice golden brown, take them out on a serving plate. Sprinkle chaat masala over it.
  7. Delicious 'Moong Dal Bread Pakoda' is ready to be served. Garnish it with coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds.
