Moong Dal Cheese Dosa is a protein-rich crispy snack of the Andhra cuisine.

Moong Dal Cheese Dosa is the best combination of health and taste. You will get the nutrition of moong dal and vegetables together. In addition to it is not only an easy recipe but you can prepare in a short period of time also. Moreover, there is no need of fermenting the batter, you can use the batter straightway after grinding.   • Prepare this dish using Homemade Pizza Sauce and Green Chutney (Coriander and Mint)

  • If you want you can serve it as pizza instead of fold pancakes.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR DOSA BASE :
  • Yellow gram / Moong dal - 1 Cup
  • Green chili / Hari Mirch - As Per Taste
  • Ginger / Adrakh - 1 Inch
  • Salt - As Per Taste
  • Asafoetida / Hing - 1 Pinch
  • Oil - For Roasting
  • FOR TOPPINGS :
  • Pizza Sauce - 1 Tablespoon
  • Green Coriander Mint Chutney - 1 Teaspoon
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely Chopped
  • Parboiled Corn - 1 Cup
  • Parboiled Peas / Matar - 1 Cup
  • Capsicum - 1 Finely Chopped
  • Salt - As Per Taste
  • Mixed Herbs - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red Chili Flakes - As Per Taste
  • Grated Cheese - As Required

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak moong dal for 4-5 hours. Drain water and then add green chili and chopped ginger to it. Grind it to a coarse/daradara paste.
  2. Now transfer the batter in a bowl and add salt, asafoetida and mix it well.
  3. Meanwhile heat a tava and grease it with oil and Pour the batter to make small pancakes. Roast it on medium flame.
  4. Pour some oil drops flip it and cook from another side,
  5. When it is cooked from both the sides spread pizza sauce and green coriander mint chutney on the one side of pancake.
  6. Top the pancakes on half side with chopped onion, sweetcorn, peas, capsicum and sprinkle salt, mixed herbs, chili flakes and cheese and fold it. Transfer it to a serving plate.
  7. Moong Dal Cheese Dosa is ready to serve with green chutney and ketchup.
