Oriental Thai Salad is a healthy and mouth-watering salad.

Oriental Thai Salad is a spicy, tangy, sweet, and crunchy salad. It has the goodness of veggies which makes it more delicious and nutritious. The amazing texture, perfect crunch, colorful veggies with ultimate freshness, and the real secret is in the sauce, or the dressing, which balances the taste. It requires just a few minutes to prepare and assemble. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Peel the veggies using a peeler to give a nice texture to the salad.
  • Instead of zucchini, you can also use thick-hard cucumber.
  • Use different colors of capsicum to make the salad more colorful.
  • You can replace peanut butter by using regular butter.
  • Use tomato ketchup or red chili sauce or schezwan sauce or any sauce of your choice.
  • Use fresh and tender veggies.
  • Serve it immediately for a better taste.

Ingredients

  • Gajar/ Carrot - 1, small-sized peeled
  • Zucchini - 1, small-sized peeled
  • Peeli Shimlamirch/ Yellow bell pepper - 1, julienne
  • Peanut butter - 1 teaspoon
  • Vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Cheeni/ Sugar - as required
  • Adrak/ Ginger - as required, finely chopped
  • Lehsun/ Garlic- as required, finely chopped
  • Sauce (any sauce) - as required
  • Hari Pyaaz/ Green onions - as required, finely chopped
  • Namak/ Salt - as required
  • Roasted Moongfali/ Peanuts - as required, coarsely pounded
  • Dhaniya Patta/ Coriander leaves - as required, finely chopped
  • Pudina Patta/ Mint leaves - as required, finely chopped
  • Kali Mirch powder/ Black pepper powder - as required
  • Nimbu Ras/ Lemon juice - 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  1. Peel the skin of the carrot and keep it aside. Then, peel it whole for salad. Similarly, peel the zucchini.
  2. In a bowl, add peanut butter, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, ginger, garlic, and sauce. Mix them well.
  3. Now, in another bowl, add carrot, zucchini, yellow bell pepper, green onion (chopped white part), salt, and the above-prepared sauce dressing (as required). Mix well.
  4. Garnish it with peanuts, green onion, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and black pepper powder. Mix well.
  5. Lastly, add a dash of lemon and mix well.
  6. Delicious Oriental Thai Salad is ready to be served.
