Paneer Saoji Masala is a wonderful treat for lunch or dinner.

Paneer Saoji Masala is a very delicious and spicy dish. This is made up of cottage cheese/paneer and some Indian spices. Those who like to have spicy food then this is the best option. It is easy to make with easily available ingredients at every home. Moreover, cottage cheese/paneer is a rich source of protein. Cream/Malai gives a rich taste to the dish. Ingredients

  • Cottage Cheese / Paneer - 250 Grams (Cubes)
  • Onion / Pyaaz - 2 Medium Sized, Roughly Chopped
  • Tomato / Tamaatar - 1 Medium Sized, Roughly Chopped
  • Green Chillies / Hari Mirch - 2 to 3, Roughly Chopped
  • Ginger / Adarak - 1 Inch, Roughly Chopped
  • Garlic / Lahasun - 10 to 12 cloves
  • Dry Red Chillies / Sukhi Lal Mirch - 4 to 5
  • Indian Bay Leaves / Tej Patta - 1
  • Coriandar Seeds / Dhaniya Ke Beej - 1 Tablespoon
  • Peanuts / Mungfali - 15-18
  • Dry Coconut / Sukha Nariyal - 1 Small Piece
  • Black cardamom / Badi Elaichi - 1
  • Cinnamon / Daalchini - 5 Grams
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 Tablespoon Or As Required
  • Coriandar Powder / Dhaniya Powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Fresh Cream / Malai - 1 to 2 Tablespoon
  • Oil - 5 Tablespoon
  • Salt - To Taste
  • Water - 1/2 Cup
  • INGREDIENTS FOR SHALLOW FRYING COTTAGE CHEESE / PANEER:-
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee - 2 Tablespoon
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi - 1 Pinch
  • SERVING INGREDIENTS :- Coriander Leaves - As Required, Finely Chopped.

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan on medium gas flame. Add dry red chillies, coriander seeds, peanuts, bay leaves, dry coconut piece, black cardamom and cinnamon for 20 to 30 seconds. Turn off the gas flame. Let it cool down at room temperature.
  2. Grind it to form a dry spice powder and transfer in to another bowl. Keep it aside.
  3. Now grind onion, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, green chillies to form a smooth paste.
  4. Heat clarified butter in a pan, add red chilli powder and turmeric powder mix it and shallow fry paneer from all sides.
  5. Heat oil in another pan. Add cumin seeds and the smooth paste of onion, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, green chillies.
  6. Fry it for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add dry spice powder in it. Sit it continuously.
  7. Fry it for another 1 or 2 minutes.
  8. Now add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder in it. Mix it well.
  9. As it starts to leave oil, add water and mix it well. Add fried paneer along with the clarified butter in it.
  10. Now add fresh cream. Mix it well and let it cook for another 5 minutes in slow gas flame.
  11. Then add coriander leaves cover it with lid. Turn off the gas flame.
  12. Delicious 'Paneer Saoji Masala' is ready to be served.
