Tips and Suggestions by a Mom Chef:

  • You can use grated potatoes also instead of mashing them.
  • Give10 minutes rest to the potato mixture, so poha will soak water.
  • After 10 minutes if the potato mixture becomes thick then add some drops of water to make it soft.
  • Use rice flour or cornflour instead of maida.

Ingredients

  • Poha /Flattened rice - 1 Cup
  • Boiled and mashed potatoes - 3
  • All purpose flour / Maida - 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - 1/2 Cup
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Black papper powder / Kali mirch powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red chili flakes - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Mixed herbs - 1 Teaspoon (optional)
  • Water - As required
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - For greasing
  • Oil - For greasing

Instructions

  1. Take poha in grinding jar and make a fine powder.
  2. Take boiled and mashed potatoes in a bowl. Add 3 Tablespoon poha powder, maida, coriander leaves, salt, black pepper powder, red chili flakes, mixed herbs. Mix well.
  3. Add some water in the poha mixture. mix well. Grease hand with ghee and knead poha mixture like a dough. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Take small ball sized poha mixture. Roll out it like fingers. Prepare all poha fingers like this. Grease oil on all poha fingers.
  5. Now switch on your air fryer and turn on fry option, set the timer for 15 minutes. Then set the temperature at 200 degree Celsius.
  6. Open air fryer grill and grease it with oil and Place poha fingers in it. Let it fry for 15 minutes.
  7. After 7 or 8 minutes open the air fryer grill and apply oil on all poha fingers for shinning.
  8. After completing process of air frying switch off it and take out poha fingers in a serving plate.
  9. Poha Fingers In Air Fryer is ready to serve.
