Rajgira Roti | Amaranth Paratha is healthy as well as tasty dish prepared during fasting.

Rajgira Roti | Amaranth Paratha is a healthy gluten-free paratha prepared with amaranth flour or rajgira flour. Since there is no gluten in amaranth flour, rolling it may be a difficult task. The main ingredients are rajgira flour, potato, green chili, and salt. Try to prepare it at home and enjoy it with family and friends. Share your feedback in the comment section.

  • If you are preparing this paratha for vrat, then serve it with aloo sabzi, suran sabzi, or curd.
  • Remove the potato from the pressure cooker as soon as the steam releasea, otherwise it becomes mushy.
  • If the dough is sticky, then you can also use plastic or butter paper for giving it the round shape.

Ingredients

  • Rajgira/ amaranth flour - 4 tablespoons
  • Potato - 1 small-sized boiled
  • Rock salt/ senda namak - as required
  • Green chili - 1 finely chopped
  • Ghee - as required

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add rajgira flour, potato, green chili, and rock salt. Mix it and make a hard dough.
  2. Take a small or medium-sized ball from the dough. Dust it with rajgira flour.
  3. Roll to a small or medium-sized paratha. While rolling add some more flour if required.
  4. Further, heat a pan and gently transfer it over a pan.
  5. When the bottom is partly cooked, flip it.
  6. Apply ghee on it and flip it again. Apply ghee on the other side too.
  7. Flip a couple of times till the roti becomes evenly golden and roasted.
  8. Delicious Rajgira Roti | Amaranth Paratha is ready to be served.
