Sandwich Dosa | Mumbai Sandwich Dosa is an innovative and delicious dosa. 

Sandwich Dosa | Mumbai Sandwich Dosa is inspired from Mumbai famous sandwich. This is a healthy version of a sandwich which uses lots of veggies. You just need dosa batter, veggies like potato, cucumber, tomato, onion, beetroot and a special ingredient – green chutney. This is a healthy treat for everyone and they will enjoy this dosa. You can serve it as a breakfast or evening snack or lunch and dinner as well. Moreover, you can make your variation as well. So, try to make this dosa at home and enjoy with your family. This dosa was prepared by Shraddha Thakrar – a lovely grandmom from Gujarat.

  • It is recommended to prepare this dosa using homemade dosa batter.
  • Many innovative variations of sandwich dosa can be made by adding different types of filling.
  • If sandwich masala is not available at home, then salt, black pepper powder and chaat masala can be used.

Ingredients

  • Dosa Batter - as required
  • Sliced Boiled Potato - as required
  • Sliced Cucumber - as required
  • Sliced Tomato - as required
  • Sliced Onion - as required
  • Sliced Beetroot - as required
  • Green Chutney - as required
  • Sandwich Masala - as required
  • Oil - as required, for greasing

Instructions

  1. Heat a dosa tawa. Grease it with oil.
  2. Once the tawa is hot, spread the batter to make a dosa. Pour some oil on the dosa and the edges. Cover and let it cook on a low flame for 2 minutes.
  3. Then check if the dosa, has turned a little brown. If it has, spread the green chutney on it.
  4. Now, place boiled potato slices and sprinkle sandwich masala. Then place cucumber and sprinkle sandwich masala. Repeat the process for tomato, onion, and beetroot slices.
  5. Fold the dosa from all the sides to make a square-shaped dosa. Then take it out on a serving plate and cut it into pieces.
  6. Delicious 'Sandwich Dosa | Mumbai Sandwich Dosa' is ready to be served.
