Suji Cutlets is an ideal instant snack. 

Suji Cutlets is an easy and simple deep-fried fritter. It is made with bread, semolina and some spices which are easily available from your kitchen. Moreover, These vegetarian cutlets have a mouth melting texture and a crisp exterior without using any flour. Serve them with green chutney as a teatime snack or as a side dish for lunch or dinner. It can be an ideal party appetizer as well. In addition, cutlets are always easy and tasty snacks, but these semolina cutlets are extremely simple to make. Tips and Suggestions by a Chef:

  • The ratio curd to suji should be 1/2:1.
  • Green chilli or red chilli powder can be used instead of red chilli flakes.

Ingredients

  • Semolina / Suji / Rava - 1 Cup
  • Curd / Dahi - 1/2 Cup
  • Water - As required
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • Red chilli flakes - 1 Teaspoon
  • Mixed herbs - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Bread - 1 Slice

Instructions

  1. Take suji in a bowl. Add curd, little water. Mix well. Then add coriander leaves, red chilli flakes, mixed herbs. Let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Add little water to prepare a medium consistency batter. Mix well. Now add salt. Mix well.
  3. Now take a bread slice. Cut it into 4 pieces. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan.
  4. Dip the bread piece into the batter and coat it evenly. Place it into the hot oil. Fry them on medium flame.
  5. Deep fry them until they become crispy and golden brown from both sides. Then, take them out on a serving plate using a slotted spoon.
  6. 'Suji Cutlets' is ready to be served.
