Thandai | Shardai is a delicious drink for all.
Thandai | Shardai is an Indian drink generally served during Holi and Mahashivratri. The paste of dry fruits, some seeds and spices cooked with milk to make this drink. This has a very cooling effect on the body hence the name is Thandai. There are many variations of the recipe like rose thandai, badam thandai, mango thandai, badam kesar thandai, bhang thandai (prepared with cannabis). This saffron flavoured drink is very healthy as this uses dry fruits, some seeds like melon seeds and chironji. This is little sweet, nutty and little spicy ( which comes from black peppercorns). This is very easy to prepare at home too. So, try this yummy drink at home and enjoy the festival with friends and family.
